Hi, I’m Taja—a writer, creator, and storyteller capturing love, life, and everything in between.
I don’t just create stories. I pay attention to the moments most people overlook—the quiet ones, the messy ones, the everyday ones—and turn them into something meaningful.
About me
I am an independent author of multiple Black love stories. Before launching my company, Taja Henson Co., I spent about seven years as a Philadelphia lifestyle blogger.
I grew up between Maryland and Virginia as an only child and a true latchkey kid (shoutout to the ’90s). I spent a lot of time on my own, reading, drawing, and building my imagination by writing elaborate stories to share with others. Today, I call Philadelphia home, where I live with my two kids and our cat, Pickle.
I’m a big fan of thrillers and sci-fi—both in books and on screen—and I hope to write one of my own someday. My favorite authors are Terry McMillan and Toni Morrison, though I love discovering new voices every day. My daughter inspires me to read more, and I’m truly grateful for that. I’m excited to finally share all the stories I’ve been holding onto with the world.
