We’ve been together for 11 years, I can’t believe it. We’ve grown up together and I’m forever grateful to have you as my daughter. You are my best achievement, the amount of pride I have in being your mom could never be measured. You’re so patient with me even when you shouldn’t be. My number one supporter.
I will always sing “you are my sunshine” to you for as long as I have a voice. You are the most forgiving and naturally caring person I know. I love your big heart and you’re squishy skin. I still remember the day you were born. It was the most frightening moment of my life. Mainly because at 19, I was positive I was going to destroy you. When I clipped your nails and you started to bleed I felt like the worse person in the world. Hence why I don’t clip them now. You taught me how to be a mother and how to be strong.
You feel every emotion I have like we share a soul, which I’m totally fine with. When I’m frustrated and crying you’re there checking on me. And when I yell and kick you out my room you come back and sit down on my bed even when I don’t want you to. I notice your effort and I love you for that. You may truly be my best friend, I will always share my secrets with you. At 11, you give the best advice.
If I had to give you one piece of advice for your 11th Birthday.
It would be to not put so much pressure on yourself. Be yourself. You are smart and beautiful.
Happy Birthday Squish, Mommy loves you.
